Shipyard Low Tide American Pale Ale

"A juicy, tropical pale ale, with a fullness that belies its low alcohol. Generous quantities of hops are added throughout the brewing process and it is those hops that deliver Low Tide's richly fruity hop character, with tropical fruits, and notes of subtle citrus and blueberry."

    Reliable pint

This was my Christmas quick-buy. A quick foray into a a local supermarket on the way to mother-in-law's and I came out with a few bottles of this.  I'm very glad I did. Some have given this mediocre reviews - it's true the body could be better and there are a few other misgivings. However, over a large  turkey dinner I wanted to drink a few pints of something that would refresh me, not look out of place, and compliment the food, not overpower it. This is did really well. I would recommend this for those days when you just want a reliable pint to do it's thing whilst waiting for the tide to come back in.

Now my go to low alcohol beer.

I came across this at Tesco. It is the bet I’ve found so far. A sharp but pleasant tasting brew. Crisp, dry mouthfeel, a powerful Grapefruit flavour with a slight but pleasant bitter aftertaste.
