Supermarkets. Love ‘em or hate ‘em, it’s rather hard to do without them. For drinkNABers, they can be an extremely useful, having the ability to source and stock a veritable smorgasbord of delights. But do they? Recent excursions in UK supermarkets have shown that we are a long way off from drinkNAB’s third pillar of ‘availability’. Likewise, my friends in the states have similar issues and I have seen so many photos posted of people filling their trolley’s when they discover a NAB as though there is a zombie hoard about to destroy the world as we know it.

The ‘choice’ is beginning to be out there, but it’s only practical only if it is made available to you and I during our regular shop. So how do we make the change? Well, perhaps writing to our local superstores is a start. Let’s not rely on a few people choosing for us, let’s take our recommendations to them. Secondly, go and chat to your local storekeeper. Let them know what you’d like and see if they will experiment a bit with stock. Maybe even take along a sample for them to try. Ultimately, it has to sell for them to be happy, so help them out by telling all your friends. Thirdly, try a wide variety of NABs and let the world know your thoughts in our reviews. drinkNAB provides real-life market research, available to all.

Never has ‘the more, the merrier’ been more heartfelt.
