Kept going back for more...

This is delicious. Imagine you are on a sun lounger by your own personal pool. The sun is shining. It's hot, but not too hot. The nearby gentle sea breeze ensures it's just the perfect temperature. You hear footsteps and without turning around you offer out your hand. Your butler places this drink in walks away, leaving you to enjoy this tropical luxury. Too much? Well, I can dream. It's early March in the UK, cloudy, and absolutely freezing. However, this drink gave me glimmer of sunshine! I've learnt that it is quite an art to fashion a non alcoholic take on a classic. Elan Mocktails have cracked this one in my opinion. It's not too sweet, the pineapple and coconut are balanced perfectly and there is very little cloying sweetness in the aftertaste.  Ok - so some might complain that the bite of the white rum isn't there. Arguably, a good Pina Colada disguises the alcohol anyway so what's to miss? Now...where's that butler?

I don't usually drink this but...

I'm not a big strawberry fan and therefore I approached this with trepidation, expecting sugar syrup and cloying stickiness. Thankfully, I didn't get either of those. Whilst I didn't enjoy it quite as much as their Pina Colada, this still held enough interest for me to finish the bottle - something that I rarely do with many of the mocktails on the market. It also gave more in taste than the standard fakery, suggesting that Elan Mocktails have put in some decent time in the lab. Of course, best served chilled, and I'd like to try this one with the addition of ice and blender at some point.
